Junior Accounting Manager (m/f/d)

As our Junior Accounting Manager, you fully own and professionalize Carly’s operational accounting infrastructure. You ensure clean, complete, and reliable financial data streams, structured preparatory bookkeeping, and seamless collaboration with external tax advisors. By building and continuously improving robust, audit-ready processes, you create the financial backbone of the organization — enabling transparency, stability, and scalable financial operations.

• Own and professionalize Carly’s operational accounting infrastructure, ensuring clean, complete, and reliable financial data across all financial processes

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly closings, reconciliations (bank, credit card, payment providers), and audit-ready documentation

• Manage all operational accounting flows, including revenue exports (Apple, Google, etc.), incoming and outgoing invoices, credit notes, payment lists, and international VAT procedures

• Build and document standardized, scalable accounting workflows to reduce inefficiencies, minimize recurring corrections, and improve internal financial transparency

• Act as the primary operational interface to external tax advisors, ensuring complete and on-time data delivery, proactive clarification of open topics, and smooth collaboration during annual financial statements and audits

• Provide operational financial oversight by monitoring recurring costs, supporting budget vs. actual tracking, maintaining cash flow visibility, and identifying structural inefficiencies in payment flows

• At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in operational accounting, financial processes, and preparatory bookkeeping

• High attention to detail combined with a structured, process-oriented mindset and a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Experience working with external tax advisors and preparing documentation for monthly closings and annual financial statements

• Solid understanding of revenue recognition, international VAT procedures, and financial data flows

• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with accounting tools and financial systems

• Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and collaborating closely with leadership

• Fluent in German and strong English skills
